From the beginning of time, every act of worship has carried a sound of sacrifice. In the book of Leviticus, God instructed His people: “When you bring a thanksgiving offering to the Lord, sacrifice it properly so you will be accepted.” - Leviticus 22:29 (NLT) In other words, God was saying, “Don’t just bring Me something - bring it right. Don’t just thank Me - thank Me in a way that reaches Heaven.” Acceptance was not automatic; it depended on how the heart approached the altar.
