Genesis 13
Run to the Mountains

Upon Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, holiness, and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions” (Obadiah 1:17). Not every opportunity deserves your yes, and not every open door deserves your entrance. Lot pitched his tent near Sodom, and what is tolerated eventually becomes normalized. God called Lot to the mountain—a place of separation, safety, provision, and His presence. Though the mountain represented discomfort and fear, it was still God’s place of rescue. Salvation without surrender leads to compromise, but obedience brings deliverance and preservation.
