Luke 24:13-35
The Road to Emmaus

In Luke 24:13-35 (NLT) we find the captivating story of two disciples journeying to Emmaus on the day of Jesus' resurrection. As they walked, they encountered a stranger who was no other than Jesus himself. This encounter holds profound lessons for us about faith, recognition, community, and the transformative power of encountering Christ. After the two disciples had explained their sadness and confusion, Jesus responded by going to Scripture and applying it to his ministry. When we are puzzled by questions or problems, we, too, can go to Scripture and find authoritative help. If we, like these two disciples, do not understand what the Bible means, we can turn to other believers who know the Bible and have the wisdom to apply it to our situation.
